In chapter 13 the Indian Ocean trade grabbed my attention for the fact that Chinese, Indian, and Muslims did not find a need to go far from their own borders. This is interesting because now at this time all countries want to trade with one another to make their country grow. For the fact that these countries back then did not find a need to do so because they had everything they needed at the time. In this time countries want to trade and buy off rights to other countries petroleum for example. Also they did not find a need to voyage out of their waters because they felt that they did not need to do so.
